The newest golf course in the Montreal area is Kahnawake’s Mystic Pines Golf & Country Club, a nine-hole, 36 par link that opened in August 2013. This course is one of the most spectacular on the South Shore. Deisgned by Graham Cooke, the course has numerous fescues covered with bent grass, big trees, lush grass, and a small lake. It feels like playing at St Andrew’s a few minutes from downtown Montreal!
Another novelty at the Mystic Pines is the fourth hole where those hitting off from the black tee have to shoot up and over a nerby wooden fence and across the access road. Either a driver or a number 3 wood is recommended for the tricky shot, affording height without sacrificing too much distance on this 510 yard fairway.
